Linking to E-Resources

For most library resources, simply cutting and pasting the link from the browser's address bar will not work. You need to confirm if the resource provides a specific link, sometimes referred to as a persistent URL or a permalink.

Visit the Copyright Licenses Permissions Chart before adding e-resource links to Blackboard or Coursepacks/Handouts.

Links not working? Get help with resource links or contact Lynette Gallant for more information on copyright.

  • EBSCO ebooks, articles and streaming videos Click on the "Permalink" in the Tools sidebar on the right.

  • ProQuest Click on the Abstract/Details tab then scroll down and look for the Document URL.
