Jenn Evans grew up in Calgary where she received her BFA in Theatre and TOEFL certification before moving to Poland to teach English. Craving a lifestyle surrounded by nature, Jenn moved to the Island and began working at the Library & Learning Commons in 2012 where she started out as a Student Assistant. Completing her Masters of Library Information Science in 2016, with a focus on the information literacy behaviours of international students, Jenn has occupied a variety of roles in the LLC including Circulation, Acquisitions, and Copyright before moving into her current position as the Collections, Reference & Instruction Librarian.
Most weekends Jenn can be found exploring the many beautiful beaches and forests of the Comox Valley with her family, baking something delicious, or curled up with a book.
Favourite books include The Sun Also Rises, Jane Eyre, A Tale For The Time Being, Monkey Beach, All The Light You Cannot See, A Prayer For Owen Meany, A Forest For Calum, Indian Horse, anything by Malcolm Gladwell.
