Revising & Editing

You've written your paper and included your research, but you're not quite done yet! The revising, editing, and proofreading of your paper is often what brings it from an 'ok' paper to a 'great' paper. Now that the bulk of the writing is done, walk away from your paper for a little while. Then come back and look at it anew. Does it still make sense? Does it say what you want it to say? Is there enough research and support for your argument? Does it move from idea to idea clearly? Is it organized in the most logical and meaningful way? Is there anything missing that you can add now? Do all of the sentences make sense and add to the overall argument? After looking at these things, now you can look at the typos and grammar mistakes in your final edits.
