Laptop Borrowing

Currently registered North Island College students can borrow laptops from the Comox Valley, Campbell River, and Port Alberni campuses.

• Students must read and sign a Laptop Borrower Agreement that will be kept on file at the LLC
• Student will be required to present their student ID to borrow a device
• Depending on availability, laptops can either be borrowed for one day or seven days
• Laptops cannot be reserved, and borrowed devices cannot be renewed
• Overdue charges are $5.00 per day to a maximum amount of $800
• The borrower will pay replacement cost of $800 if damaged or lost
• Downloading or updating software onto the laptop is prohibited
• All files left on the device will be deleted when it is restarted or upon its return to the LLC. Any files lost cannot be retrieved.
