At Canada’s History, we highlight our nation’s past by telling stories that illuminate the people, places, and events that unite us as Canadians, while understanding that diverse past experiences can shape multiple perceptions of our history.

The Héritage project contains primary sources spanning the 1600s to the 1900s. Includes Aboriginal records, government, military and war documents, papers of prominent Canadians, genealogy sources, and landmark papers from Canadian history.

An online archive of the Canadian war experience, from any war, home front and battlefront, as told through the letters and images of Canadians themselves. Begun in August 2000, the Project is located in the Department of History at Vancouver Island University.
