Located on Denman Island, the anagama kiln was built by faculty member, Gordon Hutchens, under the guidance of Dr. Yamamoto. NIC Fine Arts students have been annually invited to use this rare kiln to fire their work.
The NIC Library and Learning Commons provides a variety of study areas, Peer Tutoring and Student Technical Services to NIC Fine Arts students and faculty. The NIC Library nurtures a learning environment that extends beyond the classroom and studio, engaging patrons in historical and critical inquiry, research, and sharing of knowledge.
Registered students, faculty and staff have access to extensive digital resources including e-books and e-journals as well as materials, multimedia and image databases. Use the Fine Arts Research Guide tabs to access further resources and information about Fine Arts in the NIC Library and Learning Commons.
