Students or meeting/class participants DO NOT need a BlueJeans account.
They access a virtual class or meeting via a link you send students or other participants. BlueJeans is just like Facetime or Zoom or Skype – you need a headset with a mic or a speaker and webcam/microphone to use. You do not need to join a virtual class or meeting via video. You can join just by phone or audio but if you want to see people you should also join by computer to just see the video/screen/presentations. When someone joins there is a choice to join by phone or computer.
BlueJeans is best accessed via a little application your students or participants download and install on their cell phone or computer. By default the accounts have been set up to prompt users to download the app and produce a URL/meeting link that is accessed via the app. BlueJeans does work in a browser but it is not recommended for optimal video and audio quality.
After the app is installed, participants click on the URL will prompt the app to open OR they can open the app and type in the meeting ID.
