Moderator Tips

  • Moderators (not participants) can record a meeting by clicking on the record button in the top right corner of any meeting.
  • An email will come to you with the link to see your recording or you will find it on the  https://bcnet.bluejeans.com/ dashboard on right hand side.
  • It will take a bit of time after the class/call/meeting is over for processing & uploading to occur.
  • Sharing:
    • When you click on your video, look to bottom right of it for an arrow.
    • Click on that and choose “Public” to share with anyone with URL.
    • Then chose “Copy URL” and close the window and share the URL with your class or meeting participants.
    • Do not share URL on a public website or social media.
  • During a meeting you can have your students click on “Smart Meeting” in the top right corner to add “highlights” (40 second bookmarks and comments)
    • When the video is played back, they can make notes about certain spots in the meeting.
    • Transcript of the meeting also shows under the ‘transcript’ button in Smart Meeting App.
  • You should always offer three pieces of information (notice, knowledge and respectful use) to students about BlueJeans recordings. These three details should be shared and discussed with students. Allow students time to ask questions or to share any concerns or questions about the recording.
