The NIC Library & Learning Commons encourages students to contact us if special circumstances make it impossible for them to borrow physical items from our campus locations.
Supporting student success is important to us. We will try our best to accommodate needs within reason.
There are two ways to access electronic Library resources from off-campus.
1. When you select a database or a subscription resource from our A-Z Databases page, a pop-up will appear prompting you to login.
Use your NIC email and password to log in.
Follow the Multi-Factor Authentication prompts to approve sign-on
2. When you run a search using the main search box on the library homepage, you will see a banner on the top. Click "Login for full access".
The same authentication as the previous screenshots will appear. Use your NIC email and password to log in.
Once you have logged into the off-campus server you will be able to run searches and open PDF files without having to continuously log in.

After a certain period of inactivity, your library search session may time out.
The timeout will ask you to log in again, which may refresh your search. To prevent this, be sure to continue your search session or save resources by emailing them to yourself.
When you receive a timeout message like below, re-authenticate through the processes listed above.
