List the authors in the order that they appear on the work. Give the first author's name in reverse order, then use a comma and the word and before the second author's name in direct order. See example below:

There are different ways to format an in-text citation, depending on your writing style and sentence structure. Every in-text citation must include the author's last name and page number. Formatting examples are outlined below:

Include the authors' last names connected with and and page number placed in brackets at the end of a sentence.

 

Consider this a paraphrased sentence (Roberts and Klibanoff 101).   

 

Include the authors' last names as part of the sentence; include the page number in brackets.

 

According to Roberts and Klibanoff, "consider this a direct quote" (101).

Remember, in-text citation formatting may change depending on a number of factors.
