Comment on an Article/Post on a Website

 

Include the phrase "comment on" before the title of the article or post (source), and the name of the website (container) it was posted on.

Refer to the core elements of MLA style to create references for websites. Remember, all elements may not apply to every source. If an element does not apply to your source, omit it from the reference.

Comment on an article or posting

A comment on an article or post is unlikely to include page or paragraph numbers. Include the author's name in parenthesis to cite in-text.

Include the author's name only if no page or paragraph number is available.

 

Consider this a paraphrased sentence (Dessaso).              

OR

Supporters of this idea state, "consider this a direct quote" (Desasso).
