There are different ways to format an in-text citation, depending on your writing style and sentence structure. When no author is listed, in-text citations correspond to the first element in the works cited entry, often the title. A shortened version of the title may be used in parenthetical citations. Formatting examples are outlined below:

Include a shorted version of the title and page number (if available) in parenthesis at the end of the sentence.

 

Consider this a paraphrased sentence (Strategies 2).   

 

Include the title in your sentence and the page number in parenthesis at the end of the sentence.

 

According to Strategies for Effect Searching, "consider this a direct quote" (2).

Remember, in-text citation formatting may change depending on a number of factors.
