EXAMPLE:

Baron, S. A. (2018). Management of Ewing sarcoma in children. DynaMed. Retrieved November 8, 2021, from https://www.dynamed.com/management/management-of-ewing-sarcoma-in-children

Notes:

  • Author, A. A. = Author's surname followed by first and middle initials, when available.
  • Use year of last update as year of publication.
  • Articles are formatted like periodical articles and the italicized database name stands as periodical title. Do not italicize the database name in text.
  • The retrieval date is required since the content of the article is bound to change over time and older versions of the article are not archived.

Remember, in-text citation formatting may change depending on a number of factors.

Dynamed - Drug Information

TEMPLATE:

Pharmaceutical company (Date of last update). Drug name in italic sentence case. [Drug information or other appropriate description]. Database name. Hyperlinked URL

 

EXAMPLE:

IBM Micromedex (November 6, 2021). Prednisolone acetate [Drug monograph]. DynaMed. https://www.dynamed.com/drug-monograph/prednisolone-acetate

Notes:

  • Format drug information as your would a webpage.
  • The pharmaceutical company stands as author name in the reference.
  • If no last update date is available use (n.d.).
  • Provide the title of the drug information (usually the name of the drug) in italics in sentence case, followed by the description [Drug information] in square brackets (or other wording as appropriate).
  • Provide the name of the database or website from which the drug information was obtained in the source element of the reference. If the website name is the same as the author/pharmaceutical company, omit the site name to avoid repetition.
  • Provide a URL for the drug information.
