  • When the author and publisher are the same, omit the publisher from the source element.
  • When using an online version, place the DOI after edition information.

It is common, but not required, to identify the title (and edition) of a diagnostic manual in the text. The examples below may be found in the APA Manual (7th ed.) on page 324.
