In-text Citation & Reference Formatting

When citing a table in-text, always refer to the table by its table number.

Examples:

1. As shown in Table 4, the demographic characteristics...

2. 23% of participants successfully completed the math testing (see Table 4).

Each source cited in the table note should have a matching reference in your reference list.

Reference each item according to the format. For example, if you used information from a book to create a table in your paper, that book should be listed in your references.
