NIC Library has a public performance site license to allow feature films to be shown in the classroom for educational purposes. The film studio producing the video/DVD must be represented by either Audio Cine or Criterion. These 2 companies control about 80% of feature films in Canada.

Audio Ciné Films Inc. is the exclusive Canadian non-theatrical rights representative for numerous major studios, producers and 1000's of feature length movies.
HBO Films - are not included in the annual blanket license but NIC has licensed separately.
