Remove a Reserve

When an item is no longer needed as a class reserve, remove the item from its reserve status and return it to the stacks.

  1. In WorkFlows, select Reserves > Common Tasks > Remove Reserve. Choose your campus, then Resv-camp and click “OK”

  1. Scan the item to be removed.

  1. Click on: Remove Reserve and then click the Close button.

  1. If the item to be removed is an Article, Student Essay, or instructor owned copy, email the Cataloging Library Technician with the pertinent information requesting that the brief record be removed.

If the reserve item has been borrowed from another campus it should be returned to the original campus.

If it is anticipated that an item is to be placed on reserve again in the future fully remove it from Reserve as above.  When it is time to put the item on Reserve again re-enter it as if it is a brand-new item.

When an instructor removes their personal copy from Reserves, remove the Reserve record, and then contact the Cataloging Library Technician and request removal of the item’s record from WorkFlows.

If a red message appears, a mistake in taking the item off reserve has been made and the entry should be rechecked.
